The main reason to upgrade to this 3phase system is power output at low rpm see comparison chart below compared to oem 32amp single phase system
RPM | 3 PHASE |
32AMP OEM SINGLE PHASE |
1000 | 22AMP | 13.9AMP |
1100 | 25AMP | 17.1AMP |
1200 | 27AMP | 19.6AMP |
1500 | 31.5AMP | 25AMP |
2000 | 35AMP | 28.1AMP |
2500 | 37AMP | 30.3AMP |

The advanced MOSFET regulator construction will run cooler than all OEM diode style regulators.
In addition, this rectifier has overheat protection. Rather than burning up it will simply turn off for a while and cool off.
There are other 3-phase conversion systems out there. What makes this one better is the Shindengen Mosfet FH020AA Regulator/Rectifier. This regulator is more efficient than the old diode regulators. This regulator does not get up to the high temps like the older units; allowing you to mount this regulator in any hidden area. There is allot of info on motorcycle forums about upgrading charging systems to use the Shindengen Mosfet FH020AA R/R.
